| express my sincerest gratitude:
To my advisor, Zachary Lockman, who first turned my gaze toward Hebron and who has
wholeheartedly supported and encouraged this research project as it weathered trials and
tribulations unforeseen; who generously shares his insight and wisdom; and who has helped
me to think in more profound ways about my research findings.
